To create a perfect seam allowance on piping, simply lay the tool over sewn piping with the cording in the groove then cut along the tool's edge with a rotary cutter. Voila ... a perfect seam allowance. The tool is 11.5" in length so I'm able totrim 400" of piping in about 20 minutes! Two grooves are available offering 1/4" and 1/2" seam allowances

Manufactured in the USA
To trim piping with larger cording, use the Groovin' Piping Trimming Tool GRANDE with deeper, wider grooves to accommodate cording up to 1/4" in diameter.
Booklet
Sixteen pages of instructions cover every detail of adding amazing piped bindings to quilts. In 1998 I started teaching this technique and have taught many quilters, from beginners to experts, to create special bindings for their quilts. These instructions have benefited from years of experience and the quilters who have given feedback on this technique.

Cording
5yds of 1/16" piping cording are included in this package. This is the cording I use in my quilts. It's large enough to make piping that gets noticed but small enough to avoid bulk at a quilt's corners.
My Piping Hot Curves technique is included in Precision & Panache and in Piping Hot Curves books. Piping in straight seams is covered in Precision & Panache. The Groovin' Piping Trimming Tool is valuable for any piping technique!
